History

Beirut Fashion Week Organization © is a non-governmental, non-political and non-profit organization (NGO-777) officially recognized and certified under the Lebanese Ministry of Interior & Municipalities and Ministry of Economy & Trade.

Beirut Fashion Week ® is one of the biggest international events not only in Lebanon rather in the Arab countries, recently fashion events in the Arab countries are so popular, as Arab capitals have hosted several fashion shows in one way or another, but Beirut Fashion Week ® has its high standards and glamorise specially with the Lebanese designers.

Beirut Fashion Week ® is an official extension of World Fashion Weeks that are held in many Western Capitals and Beirut is recognized as one of the fashion-city after New-York, London, Milan and Paris. The event is managed by “Maalouli International Group” with long history in producing and organizing high calibre international events.

The most important thing in the “Beirut Fashion Awards” is not winning but taking part. Beirut Fashion Week Organization ® NGO contributes scholarship to Milan, Paris and Brussels to the first, second and third winners under the patronage of the International Cultural and Environmental Organization © (ICEO), the Belgium Embassy in Lebanon ©, the Lebanese Ministry of Culture © and the Lebanese Ministry of Education © with the participation of fresh graduate students from universities © “LAU’, “NDU”, “AUST”, “ESMOD”, “CAMM”, “ALBA”, “BAU” and “AF&D”.

Expectations and Goals

The expectations are very high and proud when we witness the huge presence and impact of the political and diplomatic figures, celebrities, VIPs, national and international media cooperating and supporting Beirut Fashion Week Organization ® NGO. Our ultimate goal is to alleviate and raise the name of Beirut City worldwide, to illustrate the real Lebanese identity, stimulate tourism in Lebanon, as well to endorse the Lebanese culture, aiding and development the Lebanese fashion and Jewelry industry worldwide and outline Beirut among one of the world's leading capitals.

Vision and Mission

Beirut Fashion Week Organization ® NGO vision and mission are simple yet far-reaching, we aim to provide means to inspire and empower the young upcoming designers, to reveal their collections through international platform, to encourage and support hidden talents, contributing financial aids and awarding scholarships, creating job opportunities, the brand awareness through international media and a first step to be recognized international in the fashion industry.
